Lol I did not expect to hear Ono Daisuke to voice the guy in the suit, I was doubting my ears at first. It got really concerning when he appeared in the ladies room and I was about to detest Runa further if she purposely had sent a creep to meet with Akane. Thank goodness he's just been taught incorrect social cues and didn't have a certain ulterior motive.

I thought it was amusing how he figured Rurihime was played by a guy but it very much seemed like he wanted to brainwash himself into believing that Rurihime was actually played by Akane even though she was denying it so much.

I was about to get annoyed when Akane stopped Eita from lecturing Runa so I am glad later on she told her she will leave the lecturing to Eita and that because Akane stopped it and spoke with her, that it would erase what she had done.

I still don't find her reason for doing what she did justifiable and I also did not like how they were trying to give her some sort of redemption by making her worried about Akane getting hurt. From the sound of it, it sounded like Runa might have been aware this guy was obsessed with Rurihime so who knows what kind of person he'd be in person, there was a chance Akane could have been in a dangerous position and she knowingly allowed this to happen.

Kamota's freak out was hilarious though, poor guy was so worried, what on earth did Eita tell him?

Typecero • 12 months ago

We legit could have had another “Oshi no Ko” situation on our hands.

Shinpei • 12 months ago

Akane is so unnecessarily kind!!

⁉️Tomodachi⁉️ • 11 months ago

That's what I thought 🤔 but in reality i can't find any kind girl like her. Mostly there are bitches in my life

Kirito • 11 months ago

This episode is a bit cringe and girly but at the end it ended well and not cringe it's just so hard to watch that cringe scene

Zora Ideale • 1 week ago

"girly".. well, let me inform you, kind sir, that what you were watching here is a shoujo anime..

With our MC lmao. Would she tell Runa that she loves her tho xD?

KingKrash • 12 months ago

I get the feeling the Eita and Yamada's fury was potentially downplayed compared to the source material but even then it was VERY obvious that he was super pissed that his sister did that, and that he has definet plans to scold her.

side note, I like how Yamada is slowly growing more interested in Akane and how it is being shown. This show's title feels like it mainly applies to the first encounter with him and that his "LV" is slowly dropping with every interaction he has with her without her needing to actively pursue him.

Sprayquaza • 12 months ago

Yeah TBH if my sister or brother for that matter did something like this they getting slapped (the older gen would have gone for the belt)

Os • 11 months ago

100% belt or spanking

Dreamblade • 11 months ago

Spanking doujin when??? :DDD

Os • 11 months ago

C102 :D

Yasir Amin • 11 months ago

Ac wire

OfficialDrixMalone • 11 months ago

Idk about slapping, that's just assault, especially when on the face, though I'm fine with the belt (does that make me older gen aha??).

Zora Ideale • 1 week ago

a slap bruises the cheeks everyone can see, so that's a no-go.. whereas a belt bruises cheeks no one can see.. must be that sort of logic, I suppose

Dbz Directioner • 12 months ago

I agree.

kaeyasupremacy • 12 months ago

FRRRR.

Kirito • 11 months ago

I was expecting that eita would slap his sister for doing that prank or teaching her a lesson now that's what I was waiting eita getting angry but because akane get in the way it got cringed for me

Shinpei • 12 months ago

Akane is so unnecessarily kind!!!

Kazuma desu • 12 months ago

It is not justifiable but understandable. A kid growing up in a family where they got almost everything and has no social interactions but online people, not only her sense of awareness is lacking but her emotional intelligence is also lacking cause she has no friends outside in the internet. And because lacking of sense of awareness tends to drive her decisions through her emotions rather than what is right and what is wrong and she didn't have any clue how people on the internet can have different personality between their online persona and real life persona. She might have ulterior motives as wanting to scare Akane to force her leave the guild but she's not aware of what kinds of danger she exposed to Akane. That's why it's understandable though not justifiable.

I'm also glad that Akane let Yamada give her harsh lecture cause that situation is no joke. Even I, a guy, finds it very disturbing and frightening. And just like Yamada, I too will get pissed if someone is being a creep around my friends and finding out that someone close to me where the one who orchestrated it.

I also love how the author made me not hate her anymore after all of the attitude she's giving towards Akane. It's really rare for me to no longer hate a character that is hatetable. Which is another proof of great story writing and character writing.

OfficialDrixMalone • 11 months ago

I kind of agree on the (your) first paragraph, but I then thought she of all people should know personally how people can be different from their online persona, her brother literally is doing it lol. Though he's similar to his persona, he's still tricking others, which is why the weirdo thought Rurihime could be a woman playing behind the character.

And I don't hate Runa at all, but I don't think it's because of "great story & character writing" like you do. I actually think the opposite, as all of a sudden everything is cool, when just before they made it seem like a very dangerous situation. If you think it's great writing and storytelling then we have different standards, but i'm still going to watch either way aha.

SirFred131 • 11 months ago

"as all of a sudden everything is cool, when just before they made it seem like a very dangerous situation."

This is exactly the point. It's a situation that *could* have been very dangerous. The stranger could have been a terrible person, and there was no way of knowing. But fortunately they were a decent person despite being creepy. The show emphasizes that something terrible could have happened as a result of Runa's actions even though in this case it turned out okay it the end.

Kazuma desu • 11 months ago

I see, you also have a point. Though she was aware that people in irl has different persona as their self in online, I still do think that she still has lack of awareness when it comes to the consequences of their actions. She maybe has an idea but not to the extent of risking Akane's safety. But yeah, it's just my opinion so sorry if I sound if I'm trying to prove anything. I just want to share what I personally think and reasons why for me her actions may not be justifiable but understandable. Though we have different standards, it's good to know that you're enjoying this show as well.

Dreamblade • 11 months ago

I agree with everything you said. This is great character writing. It shows that characters not only have many sides, but can change and grow as the story progresses.

Dbz Directioner • 12 months ago

You are right. The situation could have been much worse if that guy was a wrong kind of person. Runa definitely made a huge mistake. But I also think she is just a child with zero real world experiences, so it's not right to be too harsh on her. I think Akane understood it and that's why she did what she did. Also My Respect for Kamota-san just went Up. Clearly a role model.👍

Sojtus • 11 months ago

I mean she might not have much real world experience, but the experience she does have seems to be largely in the gamer sphere. And as such she should actually know better than "normal" kids her age what kind off animals gamers (or really all strangers on the internet) can be. Even if she did not find that on her own, there is no way her brother did not educate her on that topic. Especialy, if he brings her with him for irl meet-ups.

So if anything her brother should go extra harsh on her. Because either she is taking the dangers way too lightly and needs that shit drilled to her bones or it will be too dangerous to allow her to continue coming with him to any irl meet-ups. Or worse, she understands the dangers fully in which case, her actions were kinda psycho-lvl malicious (especially considering she purposfully picked somebody with red flags).

linnen_elm • 11 months ago

Animals! Gamers are animals! if there is no sin, I bout to rape every girls I meet in the alley. Have money, have authority, literally there is nothing to stop me from raping the shjt out of every ladies i met, except for the sin! who the hell invented sin! it's like they are born to stop me from doing some kinky shjts!

Dreamblade • 11 months ago

Um, the average gamer is not an "animal", lol. I think you've been watching too many Lifetime movies.

Sojtus • 11 months ago

Who said anything about avarage?

She is smart enough to deceive Akane and ditch her, she is smart enough to get punishment as adult too. U have no idea what u r saying and just trying to sound like adult if u think "she is just child."

Dbz Directioner • 12 months ago

Unhhhh, Sorry to inform you my friend but I am an Adult. Of course I never said that i am More Mature or Anything. Frankly Speaking I am quite Immature. And I still have a lot to learn. So that's why I can tell that she has more room to Grow. And I believe that she deserves a Second chance. but after receiving some punishment of course, I never said she shouldn't get punished.

Well the op said about punishment and when u tried to put counter argument like she is just child it seemed as u were talking she doesn't need punishment. Now thx for clarification i guess i misinterpreted it.

Dreamblade • 11 months ago

She got a stern lecture and cried a lot, I think that is fitting considering it's her first offense.

Hey I want a loli spanking doujin just as much as you do, but let's not get carried away. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

First known offence for reader. Let's be honest, i don't think she was total saint until before but yeah, i shouldn't get carried away...i just think that's such a bad parenting bcoz this much of complex scheme can't be just solved by giving lectures. I for myself when was child have taken every lecture for granted my parents have me. My offence where harmless like bunking school but people don't learn or feel bad when getting lecture i think.

2nd_Armor_div_Stabsfeldwebel • 12 months ago

yea no we really shouldn't go easy on kids they need to learn that this type of shit can be super harmful and that it's not okay in any way.

Dbz Directioner • 12 months ago

Once again, I never said she shouldn't get Punished. Of course she needs to realise how grave her mistake was. But she also deserves a chance to Correct her mistake.

2nd_Armor_div_Stabsfeldwebel • 12 months ago

aight it was the way you worded it that made it seem as if it was okay. my bad

Byno • 12 months ago

Kamota-sama is the best XD

Kelvin Goh • 12 months ago

The most hated character was the stranger who was acting like an irritating gentleman, not only he didn't Ruruhime is not a real girl, and dare to enter women's bathroom without shame.

fabulous max • 12 months ago

Right? What runa did was completely unforgiveable she's seriously such a fucking brat I'm glad eita reacted as seriously as he did and getting to see him be all threatening to the stranger suit guy was so cool especially given how lighthearted he usually is - fr though like everyone else is saying I can't believe akane forgave her so easily like that; like I get that it'll be easier/better to "take the high road" and befriend runa so there's less issues and tension between their whole group in the future but seriously what runa did is so messed up akane shouldnt've let her off the hook so easy

ohmiodio • 12 months ago

This episode from a plot viewpoint is really, really bad.

I personally thought Akane was a good person, albeit sort of a clutz.
but now i think shes a damn pushover for wanting to hang out with Runa.

The fact that even tho it was sort of close, both Eita and Yamada instead of rushing down the street they.... sent a message via a game, hoping someone of driving age would drop everything and come chaperone them to the cafe literally destroyed my opinion on both of them as sensible people.

its ok if you cant deal with your feelings Yamada. you can still be worried for a friend in a very dangerous situation enough to want to rush to check if they are ok.

if they wanted to downplay it this much, they should have avoided the bathroom scene altogether. and it would have been fine. because if they just left akane talking to the guy, it would have been surely a "bad" situation, but at the very least a non urgent one.

but they cliffhanged us, and took their sweet time resolving the cliffhanger, annoying us with a very stupid gag in the meantime.

for sake of this anime. i'll have to pretend this episode just didnt happen.

keith8890 • 12 months ago

About Eita and Yamada
It was stated that it was 15 minutes away by car NOT FOOT also if the dude(driver) was online and responsive it makes sense to at least try and reach out to him.
I agree with everything else you said though

ohmiodio • 11 months ago

alright you have a point, i guess the unorthodox mean sort of pissed me off a little

musicwanderer • 12 months ago

imo she didn't look like a pushover. she's in college, not in high school like the rest of them. she dealt with it like someone who's had more social experience than the rest of them. she came across as mature.

ohmiodio • 11 months ago

a sensible person would have handled things differently. and would have tossed the burden of the friendship on Runa, rather than keeping it to herself. she behaved badly, she needs to make up to Akane, not viceversa. as in "i am still willing to be your friend" rather than "i'll make her my friend". it is a small change, but really important character wise. a person deciding to overlook another one's shortcoming is kind, a person putting aside their own feelings for the sake of relationship, is dumb and leads to serious problems down the road.

霜降 Quon🍓 • 11 months ago

As a grown up woman who met all kinds of people in MMOs I had the misfortune of meeting a girl like Runa but she was much sneakier. She'd pretend to be friends with me then block me saying i'm harassing her, i'd apologize for anything rude I might've said (when i did nothing wrong) then she'd add me back. The cycle continued for a year until she stopped replying and started making up rumors about me. So why would I keep trying to befriend this girl? I figured she had trust issues and wanted to show her i'm not trying to hurt her. I'm not a "pushover" I just really try to see things from their pov. To this day her friends still make rumors about me, despite me quitting that game 4 years ago.

ohmiodio • 11 months ago

if you think thats a mature way to handle things suit yourself i guess. age doesnt make you mature. only old.

霜降 Quon🍓 • 11 months ago

Trust me, i wish i had left long time before it unfolded that way! I'm fine now, i dont think of these people anymore and i'm busy enough being married and all. It's just funny that they're still talking about me in a game I haven't heard of in years, just shows they haven't grown up at all.

Dreamblade • 11 months ago

"Tossed the burden of friendship on Runa" is not really a mature way to think about it. If you want make friends with people, you have to earnestly try your best to fit in to their friend group; not turn around and kick people out of the friend group who were there first, just because you don't like them. Trying to rip someone away from their old friends would be just as immature as Runa trying to get rid of all newcomers.

ohmiodio • 11 months ago

it is a very mature way to think about it. she was already friends with Yamada and Eita from the last episode. And she was willing to be friends with Runa too. but she doesnt have to be. expecially after being treated that way. the burden to become friends after such a thing is entirely on Runa's shoulder. it's sensible cause it doesnt shut Runa out completely, and mature, cause makes Runa actually put effort in the relationship, instead of taking it for granted like she does with her 300 friends online.
